NOTICES
Notice of Meeting Dates, Times and Draft Agendas for all District Board and Committee meetings will be provided by email to anyone requesting such notice. Please call the District staff at (479) 795-0751 to be added to the distribution list. Notice is provided in advance of meetings and always provided at least 2 hours prior to any emergency meeting.
Regular Board meetings are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on the 4th Thursday of the first month of each calendar quarter (January, April, July and October). Emergency meetings may be called on occasion if urgent, unexpected business requires the board to meet quickly.
BOARD MEMBERS
The Solid Waste District Board is comprised of the County Judge or his/her appointed representative and the Mayors or his/her appointed representative for each city with a certified population of over 2,000 citizens.

COMMITTEES OF THE BOARD
The Board Chairman will serve as an Ad Hoc member of each committee. Committees will elect a chairperson at the first scheduled committee meeting of the year. All board members are invited and encouraged to attend any committee meeting and to provide input.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Per the District’s By-Laws, the Executive Committee is comprised of the officers of the Board. The Executive Committee has all of the powers and authority of the Board of Directors in the intervals between meetings of the Board of Directors. Confirmation of any Executive Committee action must be obtained by a majority vote of those members present at the next General Board meeting.
STANDING COMMITTEES
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Duties: Advises staff and board on revisions to manuals, rules and regulations, planning, etc.
GRANT COMMITTEE
Duties: Reviews annual recycling grant pre-applications for distribution of State funding
PERSONNEL and FINANCE COMMITTEE
Duties: Reviews all financial and personnel issues
