WHAT IS BULKY WASTE?
Bulky waste items are often difficult for citizens to properly dispose of due to their large size or the hazardous nature of some components. Examples include furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, etc. Improper disposal of these items can cause potential injury or pollution such as the release of heavy metals, carcinogens or refrigerants into our local environment. Proper disposal of these items reduces these risks.
HOW TO DISPOSE OF BULKY WASTE MATERIAL GENERATED BY A HOUSEHOLD
IF YOU LIVE INSIDE CITY LIMITS:
Citizens who live inside a municipality (inside city limits) may have curbside collection of bulky waste available through their city’s waste hauling contract. If included, the service is usually free and items will be picked up at the curb in front of your home. Contact your city’s waste hauler or the City Administration office directly for more information. If you are unsure of who your city waste hauler is, click here for a list.
